Recruiting Scene: Miller became a quick priority for the Pack and many others heading into the spring of 2015.  Miller made his first unofficial visit to Raleigh back in March of 2015 with he and his parents arriving at the Murphy Center around 8PM on a Friday night—they found the facility closed.  Miller contacted DC Dave Huxtable at which point Coach Hux and the majority of the Wolfpack staff returned to the Murphy Center to open it up and take the Miller’s on a tour.  That evening would leave a lasting impression on Miller and his family.

Over the next four months the Wolfpack would have to withstand many more offers and unofficial visits.  Miller’s recruitment reached a climax when he took a late summer road trip to take another look at some of his finalists including NC State, Virginia Tech and UVA.  Once those visits were complete Miller returned home and decided Raleigh was the best place for him.

Why NC State? “From a football standpoint, they play in the Atlantic Coast Conference. I think it’s the best conference out there. Every team is so balanced, so you don’t just have one powerhouse and I like that. Coach Dave Doeren, my new coach at N.C. State, told me that the ACC Atlantic Division had more NFL Draft picks (31) this year than any other conference division. It just shows it’s the best opportunity for me to get to the next level.”

Picked NC State Over: Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miami, UVA and many more.

Scouting Report: "Miller is a headhunter off the edge that shows good closing speed and pursuit. The outside linebacker is disruptive at the line of scrimmage and has active hands when disengaging off blockers as well. He plays with a ton of physicality and is an impressive athlete at the linebacker position. Heart and effort will never be a problem with this Sunshine State native. Miller holds his ground and could find himself playing with his hand in the dirt at defensive before it's all said and done." -- Scout.com Florida Recruiting Analyst Corey Bender
