Why NC State"The coaches, the school... overall I thought it was the place I fit in the best and should speed the next four years."

Picked NC State Over: South Carolina, Miami, Arizona State, and Maryland among others

Scouting Report"Givens is a really big pickup for NC State.  He has the size that a lot of schools are looking for at cornerback and runs extremely well.  He's also played for a great high school program at Atlee and the Virginia Beach-based 7-on-7 team The Thoroughbreds, who are one of the top 7-on-7 teams in the country.  So, he's a winner and he's played against top-flight competition.

"Overall, he's a guy that could come in and compete for playing time as a true freshman and ultimately become an anchor for the Wolfpack's secondary." -- Scout.com Recruiting Analyst Michael Clark
