NC State landed a big commitment today when Greenville (SC) 22 Feet Academy combo forward Darius Hicks picked the Wolfpack.
Hicks announced his decision at a press conference in his hometown.
The three-star forward picked NC State over offers from Purdue, Michigan, Cincinnati, and Tulane among others.
He visited NC State last week... his final official visit.
"I was with Terry Henderson, BeeJay Anya, and Lennard Freeman when I was there," Hicks said. "They were cool guys. T.J. Warren was there too. They talked about how much they liked it there and that if I wanted to play against the best players in the country every night then I should go there and play in the ACC.
"I like the tradition at NC State... winning and the ACC. Plus, the coaches said I'd have the chance, if I earn it, to play major minutes. They talked about the opportunities there."
Hicks is NC State's second 2016 commitment, as he joins five-star point guard Dennis Smith.
Pack Pride will have more from Hicks on his decision in the near future so stay tuned!
