Wolfpack sophomore Nyheim Hines has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2016 Paul Hornung Award, which is given annually to the nation's most versatile player.

The Garner native showed his versatility last season by starting games at wide receiver and running back, while also earning Freshman All-America honors as a returner.  Not only has Hines been versatile within his sport, but he's used his versatility to win All-America honors for the Wolfpack Track & Field squad as well.

After only one season, Hines boasts the second-best kickoff return average in school history (26.3) while his 920 KOR yards as a rookie ranks as the 10th-best single season mark in school history.  He was an honorable mention All-ACC performer as a specialist in 2015.
