How is your health?
My health is perfect.
What did you do to your ankle?
I broke my ankle.
Previously you had a shoulder or a knee?
Two years ago I tore my rotator cuff.
Do you want to find some wood to knock on?
[Laughing] I have no idea what that means. I'm not following you guys.
What is the biggest thing Eli is stressing in camp?
Just operate and execute touchdown drives. That's what it's all about.
We have a bunch of playmakers, and we have to do our job. We have to get them the ball. That's it.
How acclimated are you at NC State?
Yeah. I've been here the whole summer so I'm pretty acclimated. I've got to know everybody.
I'm still not used to this humidity though. I'm dying. It's horrible.
What's it been like to also come in with a transfer center?
That was definitely cool.. the whole transfer experience, having another guy go through it.
How have you leaned on each other?
It's not like we haven't done this before. It's just a new team, new program, new guys. We kind of know how things work.
Did you watch any NC State games last season? What did you take away?
I watched the whole season. It's a fresh start... I'm not going to talk about last season. It's a whole new season.
Was it tough to watch Rypien take that job and run with it after you beat him out?
Anytime you get hurt it's tough, but still I was happy for him. He played at a really high level.
At the end of the day we're a unit, I got hurt, and it's next man up.
To have that happen, how does that help you for this fall?
Honestly I feel like I look at the game completely different after I got hurt. I'm just out here to have fun.
