NC State head coach Dave Doeren has announced that redshirt sophomore Coult Culler has decided that he will no longer play football due to recurring injuries. The Wilmington native will continue to be a part of the Wolfpack football program while he works on earning his degree in fisheries, wildlife and conservation biology.

“Coult is a very loved member of this team,” said Doeren. “He’s played multiple positions so he’s worked with a lot of coaches and has learned a great deal during his time here. He will continue to be around the team and will be a big part of our program, he just won’t put on pads every day.”

Culler came to NC State as a linebacker, redshirting the 2014 season at that position.  He moved to the defensive line prior to the 2015 campaign, where he saw action in four contests. This spring, he moved to offensive guard.
