Doeren: "I'm Very Proud Of Our Players"

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State head coach Dave Doeren discusses the 49-22 win over Old Dominion.

"I'm very proud of our players and our coaches."

"It was a tough week and our guys hung together.  I thought they worked really hard in practice."

"It wasn't perfect but it was a lot better. There were a lot of good things throughout the game."

"I thought our focus was as good as it's been."

"A lot of people are saying things about our guys and me and everybody else, and we hung together.  We're going to stay together."

"I'm really proud of our players and our coaches for that, and we'll continue to do that everyday."

"We have a really great bunch of kids here, and it's fun to be with them. I enjoyed every minute of coaching them today."

"We had a couple of penalties that true freshmen made. Those were the two that hurt us, one was a punt return, and I hate that Bra'lon didn't get it because that was a great return."

"A lot of positive things. I thought Steph Louis again showed what he's doing."

"We didn't get a lot of carries for Matt with the way they were playing the box there were a bunch of throws for our offense. I thought the guys did a good job taking advantage of those things."

"Defensively, I thought we played really well in the firs half.  Up until the run at the end of the game, I thought they had less than 30 yards until that run."
