Waxhaw (NC) Marvin Ridge star wideout Emeka Emezie announced in September that he was opening back up his recruitment after committing to NC State over the summer.
However, he is now back in the fold for the Wolfpack.
"I told the coaches today that I want to go to NC State," said Emezie late Monday night. "I'm back committed to them because it is the right place for me. I think I was just listening to what everybody else was saying, and I really didn't listen to myself. You can't let the hype around what everybody else says get to you and prevent you from doing what you should do.
"I'm excited about it... they were excited it. I think they kind of knew that's what I was going to do because it was the right place."
Emezie plans on taking a couple of visits to NC State in the near future.
"I'll be up this weekend for the Notre Dame game," he said. "After that I'll be going up for my official visit when State plays Miami."
He maintains that his decision is final.
"Like I said, it's the right place for me," he said. "I'm happy about it and my parents are happy about it. They've thought all along it was the best place for me; they really like the school too."
A 6-foot-3 wide receiver, Emezie is rated a three-star recruit by Scout.com, and he was recently selected to represent North Carolina in the 2016 Shrine Bowl.
