Don't ask redshirt sophomore quarterback Ryan Finley about the loss at Louisville. Don't ask him what went wrong... why did the Wolfpack struggle for much of the game against the Cardinals.
It's obvious that he has already moved on.
"I don't really want to talk about Louisville," he replied when asked about the Louisville struggles. "We're moving on. We're on to Boston College, and that's where our mindset is at. I think that's where the whole team is. We're moving on."
In the Wolfpack's worst offensive performance, NC State put up just 13 points against Louisville and Finley tossed two interceptions. He did throw two touchdowns in the second half, which he and the offense can build on. That building starts during the week as State prepares for Boston College on Homecoming weekend after two straight road contests.
"Practice has been good," he said. "I had a really good Tuesday practice. We're excited to get back out there and back to work. We also look forward to our homecoming week this week against Boston College.
"I'm always excited to get back out there in Carter-Finley. At the end of the day we just want to be 1-0... we're excited to be back at home and in front of our home crowd."
Bouncing back is the objective for the 4-3 Wolfpack, and while they are looking to snap a two-game losing streak, there are several goals still attainable this season.
"A lot of our goals are still left on the table," said Finley. "We just want to take it one game at a time. A lot of our goals are still left on the table. We can still go undefeated at home... we can still have a great record at the end. We can still have an opportunity to play in a bowl game... all kinds of stuff."
What is the ultimate goal?
"We're just trying to go 1-0 this week."
