After Clemson's win over Virginia Tech in the Atlantic Coast Conference title game, the conference bowl picture is clearer, and NC State should learn today where they will be playing over the holidays.

The league currently has 11 teams eligible for bowls and the ACC has tiered the bowl tie-ins for selection purposes.

What does it all mean for NC State?

Well, at 6-6 the options are limited. Because of the tiering process, NC State is essentially slotted into the Tier II mix, which includes: Military Bowl, Independence Bowl, Quick Lane Bowl and St. Petersburg Bowl.  Those bowls pick in that order and will likely be selecting from the league's 6-6 teams (NC State, Wake Forest, and Boston College).

According to a source, the school ADs will be notified this afternoon via conference call of their bowl bid.

Here is an updated look at where some of the latest bowl projections have the Wolfpack playing over the Holidays.
