The Associated Press released its version of the 2016 All-ACC teams, and NC State senior tailback Matthew Dayes and junior guard Tony Adams were both named second-team All-ACC.

Dayes finished the regular season ranked third in the ACC with 1,119 rushing yards. He became the first Wolfpack player to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season since 2002. Dayes' eight 100+ yard rushing games this season are the most for a Wolfpack player in a single season since Ted Brown had nine in 1977. He also leads the Pack with 10 rushing TDs and ranks fourth on the team with 31 receptions.

Adams started all 12 games at right guard for the Pack this season, while playing almost 97% of the team's offensive snaps.  A preseason candidate for the Wuerffel Trophy, Adams has not allowed a sack in his third season as a starter.
