Trinity-Pawling (NY) defensive lineman Ibrahim Kante committed to NC State today while on campus for an official visit.
Kante played just five games this past season while dealing with an injury, and he totaled nine tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks in those contests. His play led to him adding offers from Temple, UCONN, Old Dominion, and Buffalo before NC State offered this week.
At 6-foot-5 and 240-pounds, Kante has the frame to add weight and grow into an interior lineman, even though he currently projects to play defensive end.
"I know how to use my hands and push linemen back," he stated. "I need to work on everything, but I'm still young and get better."
Pack Pride will have more on his decision shortly so stay tuned!
