Commit Date: 1-15-2017

Recruiting Scene: Brown boasted double digit offers but whittled his list down to just Pittsburgh and NC State headed in January. He planned official visits to both but as was the case with several prospects in the class of 2017, committed to NC State before ever making another visit. He bonded extremely well with coach Nielsen and his commitment wasn’t surprising considering the Pack had been on him more consistently than virtually every other school.

Why NC State? "I feel like I can be a great fit next year.   I''ll be on the line with guys like [Bradley] Chubb, and they can teach me along with the coaches.  I can't wait to get back and get started."

Picked NC State Over: Pittsburgh, Oregon State, Purdue, Kentucky, Rutgers, And Syracuse

Scouting Report: At 6-5, 240 pounds Brown has a tremendous frame and physically, possesses a world of potential. He is still rather raw at defensive end but flashes a good burst and can play the game violently. Brown will need to work on his pad level and becoming consistent. Because of his size it’s certainly possible he could move inside at some point.- Pack Pride Recruiting Analyst Steve Williams
