Mooresville (NC) cornerback Chris Ingram has signed with NC State!

More On Chris Ingram:  Ingram finished his senior year with 53 tackles. He also had a pair of interceptions and seven pass breakups. Team captain as a senior. As a junior he totaled 26 tackles, an interception and 10 pass breakups. A 2016 Shrine Bowl selection, Ingram was a four-year first-team all-conference selection and three-year all-county.  He was rated theNo. 74 cornerback nationally by, No. 1 CB in North Carolina.


Ingram also plays high school basketball and is on the track team. His twin sister, Kirsten, will attend Meredith College on a track and field scholarship.

Ingram plans to major in communication and work in sports management.

Recruiting Scene: NC State's first 2015 commitment, Ingram picked the Wolfpack after camping following his sophomore season.  He had early offers and projected to be one of the top prospects in the state, but chose to end his recruitment early in the process.

Scouting ReportIngram has good length at cornerback. He is comfortable in both man and zone coverage. Ingram has a smooth backpedal and anticipates well. He breaks quickly and shows great ball skills. Ingram is also good in run support. He needs to add weight and continue to get stronger, but he has a big upside and should contribute early in his college career.
