POSTGAME: Henderson, Yurtseven On Miami Loss

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State's Terry Henderson and Omer Yurtseven met with the media to discuss the loss to Miami.

"It was tough... not getting stops, not executing on offense.  All the little things hurt us down the stretch."

"I don't have a comment on that, honestly.  I was going out there worried about getting stops on defense. I wasn't stressing offense too much. My main focus was getting stops."

"I don't know."

"If anybody is scoring the ball that helps us better defensively as a team."

"Even if we're not scoring the ball, there should be no excuse for not giving 100% effort on defense."

"Things get tight we have to learn as a team how to execute down the stretch on both ends, not just offense. Playing together on the defensive end is costing us games and we need to get better at that."

"We have to do better on the boards too, they killed us on the boards.. little things like that, getting stops, rebounds, boxing our man out, it all adds up."

"It's either now or never if you ask me. I'm tired of losing. Nobody on our team wants to lose. We have to take into account that we need to come back even stronger."

"We have to go down there and give it our all. Everybody has to be locked in."

"It was getting the ball to the hot hand. Dennis and my teammates did a good job of doing that and I tried to stay aggressive."

"We needed more rebounds and to be more aggressive on defense. That summarizes it I guess."

"It happened a couple of times. It's about whoever wants the ball. I think we wanted it more than them but it just didn't happen today."

"They were wide open shots, that's why I said we have to pick up the defense. They aren't a team that can make a shot over your head, but any team can make open shots."

"It was tough because I really thought at the end we were going to win... that kind of hit us hard."

"As you said, they brought it back so all we had to do was stay in between the man and the basket. That's all we need to do."

"It's not hard. I think we can do it as a team, but we have to do it as a team. Otherwise if everyone thinks about ourselves it's not going to happen. I'm not saying my teammates do that. We just have to be more together."

"Hopefully we'll be able to show it on the court."
