Hines: "I'm Just Trying To Do My Job"

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State junior tailback Nyheim Hines met with the media after the 2017 Kay Yow Spring Game.

"It's great.  I know that we're replacing him and it will be hard to replace him, but we have four guys with a lot of playing experience."

"You can definitely tell their experience is taking over."

"Matt, it's going to be hard to replace him, but as a group we'll try to do everything Matt did as one person. I don't know how he did it last year. He was an amazing player."

"For me, honestly I'm just trying to do my job and do everything I can to help this team win and have a successful year."

"You touch the ball more obviously, but it's definitely fun. I've played running back my entire life."

"I haven't been in the receiver room, but coach Kitchings tells me everything for the receivers... our coaches do a great job making sure the players, myself and Jay Sam, know every position on the field."

"It's great. Hopefully Wolfpack Nation, some of the best fans in the world, hopefully they saw what we were capable of."

"Last year we didn't finish all our games, hopefully this year we'll finish."

"I love playing and being around it... especially staying at home and playing in Raleigh was a great thing. It makes it more exciting."

"I was speaking to Matt today and talking about how well he pass blocked. I didn't noticed that... I went back and watched on film how great he was."

"I need to make sure I can trust my eyes and fill the lanes."

"I don't care how many yards I have, as long as we don't go 7-6. I want to win 10 games this year and I want to do everything I can possibly do."
