According to a school official, sophomore wing Maverick Rowan has informed Kevin Keatts that he will not return to NC State.
Rowan averaged 12.0 points and 3.7 rebounds as a sophomore. He shot 42.9% from the field and 36.1% from the three-point line while playing 29.9 minutes a game. Rowan 12.5 points and 3.3 rebounds over his two-year career at NC State.
Rated the No. 37 player overall and a four-star recruit in the 2015 class, Rowan originally signed with NC State after considering Louisville, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Florida State, and UCLA among others.
Rowan's departure leaves NC State with ten projected scholarship players on the 2017-2018 roster, and that includes senior Terry Henderson, who has filed a waiver for an extra year of eligibility.
Rowan will have three years left to play two seasons should he transfer to another school.
Pack Pride will have more on Rowan's decision in the near future so stay tuned!
