Zuttah watches Instant Classic

Jeremy Zuttah watched the OSU/NC State clash last weekend and StateFans got his thoughts about the game. We also talk recruiting in this latest interview of the four-star offensive lineman.

Jeremy Zuttah is off to a fast start in football in 2003. J.P. Stevens High School is 1-0 and Jeremy sits with over a dozen Division 1 offers. Maryland, NC State, Rutgers, Virginia Tech and Boston College all have made offers and have called since the contact period began on September 1st. StateFans also made contact on Tuesday night with the New Jersey lineman to see where the Pack fits into his future plans.

We asked Jeremy how much progress the Pack had made in landing his signature next February. "They have not been in touch recently. They called the first week and that's about it. Coach Demarest is recruiting me."

While over a dozen offers sit on the table, the list will soon be trimmed by Zuttah. "Everybody still has the same chance right now. I have started thinking about the official visits but I have not made any yet. I will definitely have it down to five by the beginning of October. I have a little more than a dozen offers right now."

We asked Jeremy to compare his two offers from the ACC schools, NC State and Maryland. "The only real difference I see right now is location. I don't really know that much about NC State's education, I know Maryland's is very good. Location wise, Maryland is a little closer to me. I hope to major in Business."

Zuttah was able to catch a glimpse at a couple of his potential schools last weekend. He watched NC State and Ohio State battle it out in triple overtime. "It was a pretty good game to watch. It was a hard played game. Either team could have won. Each team could have had a couple more things happened that would have made the difference."

With October only a few weeks away, StateFans will continue to monitor the recruiting of Zuttah and we will report when he trims that list.
