Morrow: "It was Extremely Hard"

StateFans columnist Jeff Goodman caught up with Charlotte (NC) Latin's Anthony Morrow to discuss his college decision.

Now that Charlotte Latin (N.C.) swingman Anthony Morrow chose Georgia Tech earlier today, Herb Sendek and the staff will focus much of its efforts in trying to land the two-sport star, Andrew Brackman, who is also considering playing both sports at Georgia Tech.

However, the scenario is different with the two ACC schools. While the 6-9, 200-pound Brackman would come on board at N.C. State on a basketball scholarship, Tech would bring him on under a baseball scholarship.

``It was extremely hard," Morrow said of his gut-wrenching decision where he chose Georgia Tech over the Wolfpack. "I just felt like Georgia Tech was the best fit for me both academically and for basketball."

``I had to choose one school and I just felt that Tech was the best opportunity for me to grow," he added. "I felt like I could also succeed at N.C. State and that's what made it so hard, but I had to decide and I went with Georgia Tech."
