NC State's Coach Portee spent time with Davon earlier that morning.
"I talked to my recruiting coach, Coach Portee. He told me he had been watching film and stuff on me. He told me to keep working hard."
We also asked Heath what he thought about the way the Pack pulled the game out on a Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay's interception return for a touchdown.
"We watched the game. It was a good game. It was an exciting game that came down to the last couple seconds."
Heath did manage to get to the locker room to meet some of the players.
"After the game was over with, we went inside and got to meet some of the players and stuff. I met Andre Maddox. He is a junior. I really wanted to meet him because he plays the same position I play."
We also asked what was the one thing that stood out from his visit to Carter-Finley.
"I loved their new weight room. That was the thing that interested me the most. The weight room was clean. There weren't any loose weights lying around. Everything was perfect in there."
Davon's father also liked what he saw on Saturday. "He liked it. He said he thought it would be a good place for me to go to school at."
Where does the process between NC State and Lancaster DB go from here? According to Davon, he is still not sure.
"I really don't know. I want to take one of my college days from school and go back up there, probably in the spring. As far as football, I guess they will send me something."
Heath rated the trip on a scale of 1-10 for StateFans. "I rate it a 10. I had a lot of fun. I had a nice tour lady. She told me a lot about sports and about the education programs. She gave me a lot of info. Info like I really didn't ask for. Also, they have a real good team that is on the rise."
