Miller, who was in Raleigh this weekend for NC State's big victory over the Virginia Cavaliers, admitted the game atmosphere had an impact on his decision.
"Yea, that last game pretty much made my decision a lot easier. The atmosphere was great at the game and I just felt like being one of those guys. I did some thinking today, came to my senses, and just felt that I wanted to go to the Wolfpack."
Gerard projects as a Defensive End or Defensive Tackle on the next level. Which will he play for the Wolfpack?
"I think I'll definitely be on the defensive side of the ball, but what position will be determined when I get to Raleigh and start practicing."
Miller will still take his visit to NC State, but has indicated that it's not necessary to visit Florida State, Tennessee, and North Carolina, the other finalists on his list.
"Coach Diaz told me I will still take my NC State visit but there's no reason for me to visit anyone else if my heart's not there so I won't. There is no reason for me to visit Florida State, North Carolina, or Tennessee and waste their money if I'm not going to go there."
"It's a lot of weight off my shoulders and I just feel good right now. I'm glad I've made this decision."
Stay tuned for more on Gerard Miller from StateFans, as we will be in attendance this Friday night for his first-round playoff matchup against Hillsborough (NC) Orange High School!
