Is Miguel Scott Ready to Join the Wolfpack?

Miami (FL) Killian Defensive Back Miguel Scott failed to qualify academically out of high school, and the NC State signee chose to remain at home so he can gain a qualifying test score. Did the talented defensive back receive the good news he's been waiting on?

"Well, I actually won't know for sure until Friday," Miguel Scott told StateFans. "I'll get my score back then and when I do I'm suppose to call Coach "Doc" [Holiday] and let him know what it is. Then I'll know if I can come up to NC State for sure in December."

Scott stated that he just missed the number he needed on his previous attempt.

"Man, I thought I had it last time but it was just off. If I don't get it this time then I will have one more chance to take it before next year."

What happens if he's unable to achieve his score before December?

"I think I would have to go to Junior College, but I'm pretty sure that I'll get the score. I feel good about this last time."

Scott, who's been working out at his local park, said he's kept in touch with an ex-teammate of his, current Killian RB Bobby Washington. Miguel feels the talented Washington will have a great visit to NC State and thinks the Wolfpack may have a shot with the nation's #4 Running back.

"I don't see why they can't get him. He told me the last time we talked that he was going to visit NC State. With me, Pat, Stephen, and Maddox up there... I think he'll like it."

StateFans will have more on the Scott situation after he has his scores in this Friday.
