Miguel Scott's Ready to Run with the Wolfpack

Miami (FL) Killian Defensive Back Miguel Scott has received the good news that he's been waiting for.

"Yes, I passed the test," Miguel Scott told StateFans. "I called Coach Holiday to let him know, and he was happy about it."

"I should be up in time for NC State's bowl game. That's when I'm looking to go up there."

Scott, who watched the NC State vs. FSU game on Saturday afternoon, said that he felt his future teammates played well.

"I thought they all did good. It was a great game, and I talked with Stephen [Tulloch] afterwards. I told him he played well but he was upset about it."

Scott, who stands 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, projects as a defensive back for NC State. However he's not sure at what position yet.

"I'll play corner or free safety. I like cornerback the best but I'll play whereever. I'm just ready to go."

Here's TheInsiders.com Recruiting Analyst Mike Bakas's analysis of Miguel at last year's NIKE Camp:

"Miguel Scott -- who checked in at 6-0 and 177 -- might turn into a college safety. His body has a lot of filling out to do and he's a kid that could be a 6-0, 200-pound safety in his first year at the next level. He's a very physical kid that plays with tremendous range. During drills you can tell he's better in long range than he is in shorter ranges. With a 4.40 shuttle time, he possesses the necessary quickness to play either spot."

Scott was tabbed the nation's #18 Safety prospect last year by TheInsiders.com. He projects as a free safety for NC State and could provide an instant impact in the mold of current Killian and Wolfpack products Andre Maddox, Pat Thomas, and Stephen Tulloch.
