Estopinan Returns From NC State-FSU Game

South Miami, Fla. standout linebacker Javier Estopinan took an unofficial visit to Tallahassee this weekend to watch two of his top college choices in action.

"I went up to watch Florida State take on N.C. State," he said. "Wow, it only made my decision tougher. They both have great teams. The game went into double overtime. The atmosphere was great. Neither defense could stop the opponent. I got a chance to go into the locker room after the game and that was a lot of fun. I got to meet some of the players, coaches, and other recruits from the upper part of Florida. It was a great trip. I'm taking my official visit there on January 9th."

The talented linebacker, at 6-3 and 235 pounds, begins defense of his state wrestling title next week. However, it appears he's putting football as his top priority.

"Our first tournament is December 5th but I'm going to N.C. State that weekend for my visit so I will have to miss it. On the 12th, I'm going to Ohio State. Then on January 16th, I'm going to Florida. I like all four of them right now, none of them really lead."

Estopinan said he no longer hears from the hometown Hurricanes.

"I haven't heard from them lately so I guess they're off my list," he said. "They never offered anyway."

Estopinan is a full academic qualifier and has scholarship offers from his four favorites.
