Brandon Daniel Profile

Blanche Ely (FL) defensive tackle Brandon Daniel rated his official visit to NC State a nine thanks to all the perks of the visit.

"I felt comfortable up there. I like the facilities, coaches, and players a lot. We had jerseys with our name on it, put it on along with the helmet and went out on the field. We got a chance to take a tour of the campus and see a lot of things."

A seasoned veteran to the official visits, Daniel says he did not think about committing knowinng he had to take more official visits.

"I want to take my other visits. I'm going to Kansas State on the 19th and Florida on January 9th."

As for a NC State's status at the top, they rate pretty high.

"I'd put them even with Virginia Tech right now. Those two are going to be tough to pick between, they are so close together."

Jerod Mayo Profile

Kecoughtan (VA) linebacker Jerod Mayo is still in the afterglow of a terrific visit to NC State.

"I had a great time there. I just liked hanging out with the players. It was me, Demario Pressley and a guy named Gerard Miller hung out together. The weightroom still appeals to me, but getting to hang out with the guys I really liked.

"I liked the food up there. They fed us all day. They had a nice banquet thing up there for the seniors. It was great the whole time there."

Mayo still has four more official visits to go through, but each of those teams need to impress Mayo quite a bit.

"I don't know if it's because it was the first official visit or what, but I loved it there. I have to say that I have a new leader – NC State."
