Rutledge Ready to Visit Raleigh

Miami (FL) Krop Offensive Lineman Chris Rutledge could be one of the more underrated prospects in the nation, as he has firm offers from Ohio State, NC State, Florida, and Miami among others. However, the talented south Florida lineman is staying quiet about his favorites.

"My top 5 in no specific order is Miami, Florida, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, and North Carolina State," Chris Rutledge told StateFans. "In my mind I have some favorites, but I don't want to say anything yet about them."

Rutledge's official visit to Raleigh this weekend will be his second, after visiting Pittsburgh last week. Is he anxious about the upcoming visit?

"Yea, I'm looking forward to it. I have family from North Carolina, and it was somewhere that I wanted to go early on. I was interested in NC State and 'UM' because they were the schools I liked even before recruiting started."

After his NC State trip, Chris will have three visits remaining, all of which are scheduled for January. Don't expect a commitment before he takes all of those trips.

"I go to Florida on the 9th [of January], Rutgers on the 23rd, and UM on the 30th. I'm going to wait until I finish all those before committing or anything like that."

What will Rutledge be looking for this weekend in Raleigh?

"I'm looking to be wanted by the team and I want to see what kind of chemistry they have. The other thing is I need to see what the school is like. Whatever school I choose I'm going to have to be there for four years so that's important too."

Chris is fully qualified with over a 1000 on the SAT and a solid GPA score. He will take the SAT again to further improve on his test score.

StateFans will have an update with Rutledge following his NC State visit, so stay tuned!
