Two Key Match-ups To Watch
When NC State has the ball…
RB TA McLendon vs. Gabe Toomey
The Kansas defense is led by it's strong linebacker corp, headlined by Gabe Toomey. McLendon needs to have a big game for the Wolfpack, and to do so it's going to come against one of the better group of linebackers in the Big 12 conference.
When Kansas has the ball…
QB Bill Whittemore vs. NC State secondary
The key to beating Kansas will be stopping Whittemore, their outstanding quarterback. The NC State secondary will be without DB Greg Golden, who has been sent home for unspecified reasons, and will likely start Dovonte Edwards and Lamont Reid. NC State QB Philip Rivers – In the last game of his brilliant career, expect Rivers to come out with his "A" game. The talented QB will try to go out on a high-note and beating the Jayhawks in the Tangerine Bowl would do just that.
Kansas QB Bill Whittemore – Whittemore has missed 4 games to injury this season and it's no secret that the Jayhawks are a better team with the talented dual-threat quarterback on the field. He can beat teams with his arm or his legs,
