"Oh, it was fun and everyone was down-to-earth," Brown said. "My hosts were Manny Lawson and AJ Davis. Those guys were cool and showed me everything about the school."
So what separates NC State and Virginia, the other favorite, right now?
"They are just so similar right now... it's crazy. The only major thing that sets them apart is the running back coach situation."
"I'd have to say the fact that UVA doesn't have a Running backs coach is big. I really like [NCSU Running Backs] Coach Portee at NC State. Another thing is the facilities at [NC] State... that separates them too."
Andre was joined in Raleigh by his family from Greenville, but his mother (who lives in Maryland) was unable to make his visit.
"My family down here went with me, and you know they liked it. Now the NC State coaches have an in-home visit with my mom on Wednesday because she hasn't met them yet. They got to go in now and talk to her about things."
It's obvious that Andre's mother will play a role in his decision, so a good in-home is critical for NC State.
"Yea, she's going to give me some insider advice on what I need to do. That's the main reason I'm waiting another week right now, so she can talk to the coaches."
Heading into the final week of in-homes, one team could be standing out right now, but that's not the case.
"It's too close right now. I like both of them a lot and it's going to be tough. You know I can't go wrong with either of them."
When will Andre have a decision?
"January 21st. That's when I'm suppose to say where I'm going on TV."
Brown hopes to announce his choice on Countdown to Signing Day but the airing has not been finalized.
