"Man it was tight," Joiner told StateFans. "The facilities were incredible... second to none. The players were guys you could cope with and just cool people. Overall it was a good visit and a very good program."
While in Raleigh Tony was able to hang out with quarterback Brent Schaeffer, a teammate of his in the CaliFlorida Bowl, and met a couple of other Florida recruits.
"Yea, I hung out with Brent [Schaeffer] and I think he's more then likely going to go to the Wolfpack. He was impressed about the program and trying to get me to go there too. I met Aaron Jones from Orlando (FL) Edgewater and a receiver from Belle Glade."
Before departing for Florida, he spoke with NC State's Head Coach Chuck Amato about the Wolfpack program and how Tony would potentially fit in.
"I talked with Coach for about 15 minutes today and we just went over the basics. He told me about the program and where it's going. We talked about the players and what I can do for them."
"All the things Coach Amato is doing right now is working and you can see it in those guys eyes... they are hungry. They want it and I loved that about them."
The key question is, does Joiner still consider himself a Florida commitment?
"I'm still committed to Florida. I just went up there on a visit to see what they had to offer and it's a pretty good offer. Hey, February 4th... we'll see what happens."
Tony has an in-home tonight with Florida Head Coach Ron Zook and will make his final decision on Signing Day.
