Andrew finished with 29 points and 5 rebounds in the Crusader's 76-72 win over St. Xavier's High School. Brackman was 9-11 from the field and 10-12 at the free throw line.
Junior Guard Johnny Wolf was the star of the game for St. Xavier's as he scored a career-high 34 points against powerful Moeller. The super junior guard is reportedly receiving early interest from N.C. State.
Following the big win, Andrew and his father, Mark Brackman, were able to watch his future teammates at NC State defeat the #1 ranked Duke Blue Devils in Raleigh 78-74.
"It was unbelievable," Mr. Brackman said. "I just think the NC State frontline outplayed Duke's and that was the difference. We are so happy for them because right now they are just one game away from being tied for first."
"If the guys can continue to play well this season and get deep into the tournament it can only help recruiting, the fan base, and the kids coming in because they know they will need to step up and play."
"It was sweet," Andrew said. "What more can you ask for in a game? The environment was great and I'm excited about it."
Brackman and his Moeller squad will next face Lasalle High School, the only team to defeat the Crusaders in conference play, this Friday night at home.
