Williams Ready to Commit?

From the time when N.C. State became the first school to offer, Julian Williams of New Bern (N.C.) High School has been a strong Wolfpack lean. North Carolina, Duke, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, and Clemson have shown interest in the 6-5 291-pound offensive tackle, but NCSU still remains as his only offer on the table.

"My decision is pretty much made up right now, but I just don't want to put it out there right now," stated Williams. "I'll probably announce sometime soon."

One of the events that could have pushed Williams to producing that "unknown" decision is his recent visit to Raleigh for N.C. State's Junior Day. Williams was able to talk in-person with the coaching staff, tour the facilities, and catch N.C. State's basketball game.

"It went well," remarked Williams. "I was impressed with their facilities."

Williams, who helped lead his New Bern Bears to the North Carolina 4A State Championship the past two years, plans to announce within the upcoming months, if not sooner.

New Bern (NC) OT Julian Williams definitely passes the look test and is an early top-5 player in the state of North Carolina.
