"It's going good right now," Julian said. "I only have one offer and that's from [N.C.] State. State's the school I'm looking at really, but other schools I'm interested in are Virginia, Duke, [North] Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. That's about it right there."
In late February Williams was in Raleigh for N.C. State's annual Junior Day and was impressed with what he saw.
"I liked their facilities. I was blown away by that. My family went with me and they thought it was nice. We had a private meeting with Coach Amato. He's a cool dude. My parents loved everything."
Julian admits he's a "strong" lean to N.C. State and even hints that he could be closing in on a decision.
"I'm really ready to make a decision, but I'm just trying to get my schoolwork up right now. My grades are OK, but they can be better. I just want to get them up first that's all."
One factor in the Wolfpack's corner is Julian's connection with Offensive Line Coach Mike Barry. Coach Barry and Defensive Backs Coach Manny Diaz are both recruiting Williams for N.C. State, and Barry's experience with developing top offensive linemen throughout his career really intrigues Williams.
"That's a major advantage with Coach Barry is that experience he has. Without a doubt that's big."
