Crouch Still High on NC State?

When the N.C. State coaching staff tendered Fayetteville (N.C.) E.E. Smith lineman Curtis Crouch his first offer, it was obvious the Wolfpack became the favorite of the 6-6 320-pound tackle.

However, a few teams have come on strong as of late and have caught Crouch's interest.

"Tennessee has just started writing me a lot recently," stated Curtis Crouch. "That really surprised me. Penn State has come on lately, also. But N.C. State is still recruiting me hard."

NCSU still remains the leader for Crouch, but he admits the Volunteers have gained ground recently and would like to know what Tennessee has to offer before making anything final. "Right now my leader is probably N.C. State," Crouch said. "I'm not sure about Tennessee, but I'm trying to see what they are about. Probably between them two."

Crouch plans to wait until at least his senior season before making his decision, and he has plenty of reasons to select the Wolfpack.

"I have a lot of close friends from high school that go there, and I'm still talking to them," remarked Crouch. "They are telling me about the school. It is also the only school I have been to so far. And right now they are really talking to me a lot more than other schools to let me know they are more interested."

Crouch plans to camp at N.C. State, Penn State and Tennessee this summer. He has already visited Raleigh for N.C. State's Junior Day and will make his first trips to Knoxville and State College when he attends their upcoming spring games.
