Rivers Watch
"Some of the main questions at the combine were 'how strong is your arm' and 'how did you start to throw?' Gradually, the talk throughout the senior year about my throwing motion slowly decreased. People were starting to say don't worry about it. It wasn't really a big topic of discussion at the combine. As far as the arm strength, I had one scout tell me that your arm is always going to look stronger in person and it did. They said it's deceiving on tape. I remember the Packers asking 'how strong is your arm?' and my reply was 'strong enough.'" - Philip Rivers - 4/24/2004

Quote of the Day: "Oh, definitely (be nervous). This will be the first time that I have done something in football that I haven't had at least a little control over. I mean, when I played in the games I touched the ball every play and I had a little bit of control at what is going on and when you pick a college you get to decide where you want to go. This is the one big time, maybe the only time, I can remember when someone else controls my destiny. So it is exciting, but I will definitely be nervous." - Philip Rivers
