    The caravan following East Carolina baseball moved into Grainger Stadium on Wednesday, overflowing the parking lot and side streets with tailgaters awaiting the No. 5 Pirates' matchup with non-conference rival N.C. State. ECU (43-7) didn't disappoint the purple masses, continuing its roll with a 7-2 victory for a two-game sweep of the Wolfpack before a season-high 3,510 fans on Wednesday night. The Pirates have won 24 of their last 25 games, avenging the only loss in the run with a 3-0 win at UNC-Wilmington on Tuesday night. Read More

With Miami and Virginia Tech on board -- additions that put the ACC "at the top echelon" of college football, in the words of one ABC executive -- the league will be seen more often on Saturdays and Thursday nights thanks to a new deal with ABC and ESPN.
