On May 22, the Wolfpack will play host to the adidas Elite Camp. The event will begin at 9:00am on the practice fields at NC State. On hand will be several of the region's top prospects for the class of 2005. StateFans provides the complete roster and has a small blurb on each Pack target. Here's some quick facts surrounding the event.

Event Location and Time: North Carolina State University Practice field 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Event Audience: High school football players looking to play at the college level, college coaches looking to recruit the best football talent for their programs.

Event Activities: Recruits Unlimited (RU) will first test athletes via a 40 yard dash, pro agility test, bench press, vertical jump, height, and weight. Later in the day, athletes will have an opportunity to take part in general football and specific position drills.

Recruits Unlimited Background: Recruits Unlimited started testing high school athletes in 2001. During 2003 RU tested 4820 student-athletes at 76 combines in 18 states.

adidas Elite Camps Background: 2004 marks the second year Recruits Unlimited and adidas bring the Elite Camps to college campuses. 2003's inaugural camp at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln proved to be a stunning success with 75 athletes coming from 9 states to take part in the day's program. Likewise, coaches from across the country attended to observer and scout prospects throughout the day. These camps will be replicated during 2004 at four campuses across the country during May at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (5/1), UCLA (5/8), Notre Dame (5/8), and NC State (5/22).
