Notes

Miami is in the field for the 32nd consecutive year, extending its own record. The Hurricanes are the number-three national seed. Miami has advanced to the College World Series 16 of 19 years they have hosted a regional. Last year Miami defeated North Carolina State in Super Regionals by scores of 10-9 and 11-5 to advance to the College World Series winning both games in their final at-bat. North Carolina State ranks seventh nationally in team ERA (3.26) and fifth in fielding percent (.977). Florida Atlantic has won 12 of their last 14 games. Only four schools have won more games than Florida Atlantic. St. Bonaventure earned its first trip to the NCAA Championship by winning the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament. St. Bonaventure did not play a team with a top 50 RPI—all other teams in the bracket have a top 50 RPI.
