Defensive End James Martin Lost for the Season

NC State Head Football Coach Chuck Amato announced at today's media conference that sophomore defensive end James Martin will be lost for the 2004 football season due to a serious knee injury.

"More Injury News: Amato said that sophomore defensive end James Martin will soon undergo knee surgery and will be lost for the season."

Martin will redshirt in 2004 and will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2005 season.

James started two games as a true freshman for the Wolfpack, and finished the year with 27 tackles, four tackles for a loss, and one sack.

Coach Amato also announced that Defensive End Renaldo Moses is making improvements from last season's ACL injury that cost him the remainder of the year.

Moses started five of the first seven games last season before injuring his knee against Connecticut. He finished the year with 26 tackles, five tackles for loss, and three sacks in seven games.
