Brown, who lists N.C. State among his final four – which also consists of Xavier, Michigan State and hometown Dayton – will take an unofficial visit to Raleigh all day on Wednesday.
"I want to get it done," said the versatile 6-7, 190-pound Chaminade-Julienne (Ohio) High senior forward. "I could keep going, but I'm pretty happy with the schools I'm looking at."
N.C. State is the only school on his list that he hasn't seen, so this week's visit will be critical for the Wolfpack to have a legitimate shot to land Brown. Dayton is five minutes away, he's been to Xavier numerous times and has also visited Michigan State unofficially.
"I can see myself going to any of the four schools," Brown said. "It's coming down quicker than I expected. I was looking at making a decision at the end of August. Now I'm planning on doing it sooner than that."
Brown averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 boards per game while shooting an astonishing 70 percent from the field this past season. The multi-dimensional and smooth forward also has a 3.2 GPA and scored a 1050 on the SAT.
Brown plays primarily with Cincinnati AAU during the spring and summer, but because his father still lives in Oakland, Calif., he usually plays a couple tournaments per year with the Oakland Soldiers program. He'll play in Vegas with the Oakland Soldiers and will play in the Reebok ABCD Camp next month.
