2004 Outlook

- Davis has to be considered the "darkhorse" among NC State running backs. T.A. McLendon is the Wolfpack's No. 1 option and might be the best back in the country, but there will be a battle for the back-up position. While Darrell Blackman enters the season with heavy praise from fans and the media, it's Davis who has been in Raleigh for a year learning the system and impressing the coaching staff. He looked very good in the spring game and a strong fall could lock up the No. 2 position on the depth chart for the bruising tailback.
