The Cameron Sexton summer tour rolls on this week and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

The talented signal-caller from Scotland County High School in Laurinburg, North Carolina was at Florida State on Sunday and Monday. He participated in a 7-on-7 tournament on Wednesday and Thursday at Richmond County High School. Sexton will be at UNC on Saturday and then heads to Hoover, Alabama for another 7-on-7 tourney next week.

Pack Pride was able to catch Sexton on a break between camps and got the latest on his performance and impressions of Florida State, his reaction to an offer from NC State and more on his top schools.

Pack Pride: How did the camp at Florida State go?

Cameron Sexton: "The camp at Florida State went really well. I threw on Monday and kind of toured around and stuff on Sunday. I got to work out with the players on Monday night which was really cool. We did some 7-on-7's and that was a lot of fun."

PP: What were your impressions of meeting Bobby Bowden?

Cameron Sexton: "That was like meeting a legend. I wanted to see what he was like because you see him on the field all the time but he was a down to earth guy. He was just impressive to talk to."

Laurinburg (NC) QB Cameron Sexton was the top prospect at the Scotland County Shrine Bowl combine.

PP: What is Florida State's recruiting situation at QB right now?

Cameron Sexton: "Right now the only two guys they're looking at are me and (Ryan) Perrilloux. They're not sure if he's coming so they're basically telling me I'm their guy."

PP: How did you feel like you performed at camp?

Cameron Sexton: "I felt like I threw pretty well. They said they were impressed with the things I do. I think they kind of want me to be a program guy where I come in, put on some weight, learn the system and wait for my shot. They signed a couple of guys last year so it could be a waiting process. But after going down there and playing with those guys, I could wait for that though."

PP: We heard that NC State offered. What was your reaction to the news?

Cameron Sexton: "I felt really good about State for a long time, even before they offered but now I feel extremely good about State. It's definitely a school I'm going to be considering very, very closely. I really get a good feeling there, like with everything that's going on. That's a school that's going to be there up at the top and that offer was really big for me- I was waiting for it. It was exciting to talk to the coaches and finally hear that they had come through with it."

PP: With offers from your favorites, have any teams risen to the top?

Cameron Sexton: "Everybody's still pretty even. There's about four or five there that I'm considering the most. I don't want to limit my options right now."

PP: Who are those teams?

Cameron Sexton: Virginia Tech, NC State, Florida State, Clemson and West Virginia. There's a chance that Miami might be able to come back into it.

PP: Talk about your relationship with TE Jonathan Hannah. It's been rumored that you two are close and have discussed playing together in college.

Cameron Sexton: "We actually met at the State camp and from day one I knew we were going to be good friends because he is a good guy. He sent me an instant message and we traded cell phone numbers and from then on we just stay in touch. We've talked about maybe going to the same school. I don't know if it'll happen. It's definitely not a package deal but we've talked about going to the same school and if we could work that out, it would be great."
