"I actually just heard that tonight from a couple of guys," Andre told Pack Pride. "They said it's been all over the internet that I'm going to East Carolina now. I don't know where it came from... I'm heading up to Hargrave and then I'll be at [NC] State."
Brown mentioned that he recently spoke with Hargrave coaches, confirming his intentions and to talk about the upcoming season at the prestigious military academy.
"I spoke with the offensive coordinator yesterday," he said. "I'm moving up there August 12th and we start practicing around then. We talked about the offensive sets and he said they are going to use single-back sets like State does. I think it's going to benefit me because he said they throw the ball to the backs a lot, and I like that."
Andre admits that he was upset when he first learned the news that he was academically ineligible and would have to prep a year at Hargrave.
"It was tough," he said. "I spent my senior year focusing on attending State, and I just came up twenty points short. I'm going to go up there though and make the best out of it so I can be at State in January."
Before heading to Hargrave Brown's focus is on the East-West All-Star football game, played Wednesday night at 8:00 at Greensboro (NC) Grimsley High School.
"It's going to be just another game for me," he said. "We are going to use some I-back sets so I'll get my touches. I want to win the game and put on a show."
