Baker Talks Recruiting

Running Back Toney Baker spoke briefly with National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Newberg and gives him the latest on his recruitment.

"We don't have two-a-days," said four star running back prospect Toney Baker. "But we are hitting now and I feel real good. I prepared hard and just want to win state. I'm also 1,600 yards away from breaking the state career rushing record of T.A. McLendon. That's good company."

Baker is one of the nation's finest backs from Jamestown (N.C.) Ragsdale High School. He didn't camp at any schools this summer nor did he take any unofficial visits.

"Right now I like North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia Tech. I don't have a leader." "I love what they have done and what they are doing at NC State. They are doing big things and they are winning."

"Same with Virginia and I really like that coaching staff."

"Tennessee is a big-time program. I saw the Tennessee/ Florida game two years ago in Knoxville and it was the best game ever."

"I like coach Bunting at UNC. They facilities are great and they look good for this season."

"Virginia Tech is a school I am still looking into. They have produced a few great backs recently."

Baker says he will wait until after the season to make any official visits.
