Joseph Takes Unofficial to NC State Today

Decision time is drawing near for Maurice Joseph, and NC State has the last shot at the terrific guard prospect.

Pack Pride has learned that 6-foot-4 Champlain St. Lambert (Canada) senior combo guard Maurice Joseph will be in Raleigh today taking an unofficial visit to NC State.

The trip to Raleigh concludes a hectic week for Joseph, as he's already visited Michigan State and Ohio State prior to this visit. NC State, Michigan State, Ohio State, Boston College, UMASS, Georgetown, and Virginia have all offered scholarships, but it appears his decision will come down to the Wolfpack, Spartans, and Buckeyes.

Joseph entered the final week of his recruitment leaning heavily to NC State and Michigan State.

"Michigan State has one of the top programs in the country," Joseph previously told Pack Pride. "They've shown me a commitment since Kentucky, coming up five or six times. I really appreciate that – for a school of their caliber to come and see me play in my gym like that."

"But I really like N.C. State's style of play," he continued. "They don't have designated positions. They're interchangeable. I think I fit their system perfectly and I've always wanted to play in the ACC."

Although Joseph decided to visit Ohio State as well, most believe he will choose either NC State or Michigan State.

As a junior he averaged twenty points a game for St. Lambert, playing both point and shooting guard for his high school squad. He projects as a combo guard on the next level, but at this point he has more off guard skills.

A decision could come after today's unofficial visit, so stay tuned for more from Pack Pride on Maurice Joseph.
