T.A. McLendon is the most punishing running back in the ACC, maybe in all of college football. He's also one of the most fragile. Over the course of two seasons, N.C. State's 5-11, 225-pound junior tailback has accumulated 1,709 yards rushing and 722 yards receiving. He's scored 27 touchdowns and broken 189 tackles. He's also suffered 10 significant injuries, undergone three surgeries and missed five of 25 Wolfpack games with injuries. Read More

Who knew Philip Rivers had it so easy? North Carolina State players are insisting that practices have shown a drastically upgraded defense. Players on offense, in particular, can attest to that. "I think you'll see a much faster defense out there," said Jay Davis, the team's new first-string quarterback. "You can tell the difference in the speed out there.
