After a strong junior season where he led Dade County in interceptions (8), he turned heads at every camp he attended this summer and now has offers from nearly thirty programs.
With the September contact period now here, it's time for Munroe to begin narrowing his options.
"Recruiting is going pretty good, but I haven't really kept in contact with many schools because I've been getting ready for the season," Dorian Munroe said. "We were suppose to play Sunset this week, but I don't think we're playing because of the Hurricane."
It's still early in the process, but Munroe gave the impression that one school currently has the edge.
"I know one team I really like a lot is Georgia," he said. "I'll definitely be taking an official visit there. I just think it's kind of different because I've lived in Florida my whole life, and I like Georgia."
"I'm also looking at all these Florida schools, NC State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Auburn," he added. "I want to visit Florida State, Florida, Georgia, NC State and probably Rutgers. All of them except Florida State have sent me an offer. They kind of gave me a verbal offer when I went up to camp, but I never got the paperwork."
Although Georgia may have the lead at this point, NC State's a school that Munroe likes a lot as well. The Wolfpack will likely be a major contender for his services given their ties to south Florida and the coaching staff.
"A lot of Florida players go up there to play, and I really like Coach Amato and Coach Holliday," Munroe said. "Coach Amato's a great coach and I think coach Holliday's a cool guy. He tells me everything straight up and he doesn't lie to me like some other coaches do."
Munroe hopes to take all five official visits before announcing his decision near signing day.
