The 6-8 combo forward, who remains, along with guard J.P. Prince, the Wolfpack's top targets, took a visit to Raleigh this past weekend despite feeling under the weather.
``It went very well," said the Seton Hall Prep (N.J.) standout. "I knew what to expect, but basically, it was as good as I thought it'd be."
Costner, who went along with his parents, started to feel sick Thursday night and said the flight on Friday from New Jersey took its toll on him.
He took in the football game against Ohio State, got a chance to meet the players, played a spur-of-the-moment game of knockout with some of the guys and even said he even contemplated about committing on the visit.
``I didn't commit, but I thought about it," Costner said. "I think they are the leader, but I want to make sure I take one more visits."
Costner plans to go on his visit this weekend to Kansas as of now, but he's not 100 percent certain he'll take the trip to Lawrence. The Jayhawks recently received a commitment from forward Julian Wright and are still in the mix from Texan swingman C.J. Miles.
``Julian Wright is more of a three while I'm a four," Costner said. "So the minutes won't really effect me."
While sources indicate that it's basically a two-team race between N.C. State and Kansas, Costner said that UCLA is still in the mix. Costner said he eliminated Seton Hall because it's too close to home.
``The whole process is starting to wear on me," Costner said. "I'm starting to get tired of it."
