Wolfpack Lands Sixth Commitment

NC State has landed its sixth commitment of the recruiting season, as preseason Junior College All-American offensive tackle Garrett Kline has committed to the Wolfpack.

Lackawanna College: Offical Release

"The NJCAA announced its 2004 Preseason All American Team. Five Lackawanna College players were recognized by that organization.

Offensive lineman, Garrett Kline, was named to the First Team Offensive squad. The 6'7", 315 lb, Kline is the Falcon's starting Left Offensive Tackle. A 2003 graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, Kline will be competing in his second year at Lackawanna. He has already verbally committed to North Carolina State. Mark Duda, the Falcon Head Coach, said that "Garrett is the best left tackle we've had at Lackawanna since Bryant McKinnie". McKinnie went on to Miami (Fla) where he was honored with 2001 Outland Trophy, as College Football's Best Offensive Lineman. McKinnie is presently a starter on the Minnesota Vikings' offensive line."

Kline is the sixth known commitment for the Wolfpack, joining junior college stars Chad Green and Greg Peterson, Hargrave's Willie Young and Andre Brown, and Ft. Lauderdale quarterback Mike Greco.

Both Kline and Green are first team Junior College All-American selections by the NJCAA. Peterson was an honorable mention selection.
