The only problem, the Wolfpack wasn't among the four schools that have extended an offer to the 6-foot-4, 175-pounder. That all changed today.
"Well Greg Williams called me today," explained James. "He told me that Chuck Amato seen what I can do and he said that he can offer me today, so he offered me a full scholarship."
Regardless, James isn't ready to commit any time soon. He plans to see what other offers present themselves and then evaluate his options.
"I'm just waiting for some more [offers] to roll in before I decide on where I'm going to go," remarked James, who also has offers from Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Maryland and North Carolina. "I'm starting to like Georgia a lot, but N.C. State is my leader."
James, who has made plenty of unofficial visits to Raleigh, figures to schedule an official visit to N.C. State as well as Virginia Tech in the very near future. If Georgia or LSU present him with an offer, he plans to schedule official visits with those schools also.
While being the primary offensive threat with teammate and division I-A prospect Levin Neal out with an injury, James has dominated the opposition catching 18 passes for 468 yards and nine touchdowns in just six games.
