Baker Enjoys N.C. State Visit

Five-star TB Toney Baker will use experince at N.C. State and future unofficial visits to help evaluate final five.

In an attempt to help develop order to his current favorites list, Jamestown (N.C.) Ragsdale tailback Toney Baker made the short trip to Raleigh this past weekend to evaluate N.C. State's game day atmosphere.

"I had a great time there," remarked Baker, who favors North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee, as well as NCSU. "I felt pretty comfortable there and I just enjoyed everything, the coaches, the fans, and all that. It was just a great experience for me."

Baker plans to continue touring his favorite schools with Chapel Hill this weekend for the N.C. State-North Carolina rivalry game, and Virginia in one of the upcoming weekends (either Maryland).

After visiting UVA, Baker, who declares all five favorites are completely equal, figures to develop some sort of order to his final five.

"All schools are equal at this point and time," stated Baker. "I could probably tell you after I have been to Virginia who I like more because I haven't been there yet."

Baker is about 500 yards short of the North Carolina all-time career rushing record. If he were to keep up with his current pace, he will easily crush the record in less then two games or under 43 carries. Currently, Baker has rushed 109 times, for 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns in just five games.
